Not that it will do me any good, but here goes: Start no more than one Block-of-the-Month project per year. I mean, really. What was I thinking? Three BOMs at a time, plus a monthly bee? And my Wardrobe Improvement Project? And everything else: Caitlyn, garden, house, work? Next time, someone please say something! Anyway. I’m slowly catching up on all the Block of the Month project I neglected in April and May. These are the blocks for In Color Order‘s HST BOM. April. I love pinwheels. See? May’s block. Probably should have used yellow instead of purple for those corners. And June. This one makes me think of the Granny Square block that’s been going around the Interwebs. Our sunny days are few and far between, so I don’t have a picture of all the blocks so far all together. Maybe next month the sun will cooperate! Save

The Blocks of March

It’s Block of the Month round-up time! First up, the block for the Blogger’s BOM. It’s really February’s block, but since new blocks are announced late in the month, I just make them the following month. This block looks like February, what with the pink/red/purple thing. I guess I wasn’t thinking things through all the way when I picked out the solids for this block. Mostly I wanted to be sure that I wasn’t leaning too hard on the yellow, orange, and green I’d used in the last two blocks. I started with blue instead of the pink, but it …

As mentioned previously, I’ve gone a little sampler/block of the month crazy. It’s like my eyes being bigger than my stomach at a buffet or something. Like one handful of chocolate chips is good, so two must be better. Just to prove I don’t know when to say “Enough!”, I was almost-seriously thinking about joining an online quilting bee, although that was more about making connections with other people than with participating in a dozen more quilts.
